Riggvedlikehold 2024

Specialist technology companies can contribute to maximising maintenance and classification while rigs remain in operation.

On September 26th, OceanTech participated in the 7th Rig Maintenance Conference in Bergen, Norway's leading event for rig maintenance. This year's conference centred on a key question: How can we maximise maintenance while the rig is in operation, and what business opportunities does this create? Does it necessitate new forms of collaboration?

“Effective collaboration between operators, rig owners, and the service and supply industry is crucial as we strive for increased uptime and classification while rigs remain in operation," OceanTech’s Fredrik Karlstad said in his presentation.

"Specialist technology companies can serve as one of many building blocks enabling this progress," he underlined.

Innovation has driven the oil and gas industry over the past 50 years, and it will become even more important in the years ahead. At OceanTech, we replace costly support vessels and reduce emissions with our technology.

OceanTech’s O&G drilling solutions

OceanTech’s robotic solutions perform splash zone operations beyond the capabilities of divers and ROVs. Utilising field-proven technology alongside advanced rope access and lifting techniques streamlines operations by lowering costs, improving safety, and reducing environmental impact.

Services we provide in the drilling sector include:

  • Anode installations
  • Inspection, repairs, and replacements
  • Conductor pipe inspections and repairs
  • Clamp installations and removals
  • Fairlead repairs and replacements
