Perth’s role as a gateway to the Indian Ocean—and its concentration of offshore assets—made it the natural choice for OceanTech’s next step. The new office connects operators with our remotely operated robotic solutions for cleaning, inspection, modification and repair in the splash zone—work that demands precision, safety and a minimal environmental footprint.
“Our mission has always been to solve the hardest jobs in the splash zone safely and predictably,” said Bernt Schjetne, CEO of OceanTech.
“By establishing a presence in Perth with Pulse Technology, we’re close to customers and partners, and can mobilise faster with proven tooling and methods tailored to Australian conditions."
The partnership blends our field-proven robotics and turnkey project model with Pulse Technology’s on-the-ground delivery capability. Together, we’ll help operators maintain splash zone infrastructure in a cost-efficient, safe and environmentally responsible manner.
“The interest we’re seeing from operators in the region is clear,” added Fredrik Karlstad, Sales & Marketing Manager at OceanTech.
“They want dependable splash zone execution backed by testing and training that de-risk operations. With the Perth office, we can offer that locally while drawing on our full engineering resources and Subsea Test Centre in Norway."
The opening was marked by a launch event in Perth attended by partners, colleagues and industry friends. The energy in the room reflected a shared ambition: to advance sustainable ocean technology and deliver reliable splash zone outcomes on a global scale.
